從喜歡音樂而發覺藝術管理是我的calling，浸淫了40多年，前線工作、研究、培訓、政策都參與了，不經意到了「斜桿老年」的階段。。。。
有幸曾擔任多個藝術機構主管, 包括香港藝術節行政總監、香港藝術發展局秘書長、香港電臺第四台台長等。2002年開始在香港和内地不同專上院校教授及策劃藝術管理課程，2005-08年任上海音樂學院藝術管理系系主任及教授 。2020-2022年任香港中文大學音樂管理實務教授。現時仍為香港教育大學兼任教授（自2012年），廣州星海音樂學院客座教授 。
我熱愛社會服務，曾經擔任多個本地和國際藝術機構董事或委員, 包括香港藝術行政人員協會主席、 康文署場地夥伴計劃委員會主席、香港政府藝術發展諮詢委員會委員、美國的藝術管理教育學會 AAAE董事等、深圳「一帶一路」國際音樂季藝委會成員等。現時仍擔任澳門國際音樂節節目顧問團成員、香港藝術發展局審批員、與及無止橋慈善基金、香港舞蹈團、香港兒童合唱團、鄧樹榮戲劇工作室、香港天籟敦煌樂團和香港大歌劇院的董事。
我的著作《藝術管理概論: 香港地區與內地經驗及國內外案例》原版銷量超過一萬本, 2018年出版修訂版。
2022年, 鄭教授獲國際表演藝術協會 (ISPA)頒發香港2022 ISPA傑出貢獻獎。
斜桿老年現在繼續探索農耕、學習、音樂、鄉郊保育、單車等樂趣！
Prof Sun-man TSENG, MH, JP
Trained as a musician, Professor Tseng found his calling in arts management. For 40 plus years, he worked first as an arts manager and later as arts management educator.
Tseng held a number of senior arts management positions in Hong Kong, including Executive Director of the Hong Kong Arts Festival Society, Secretary-General of the Hong Kong Arts Development Council and Head of Radio 4, RTHK. Since 2002 he designed and taught many arts management programmes in Hong Kong and Mainland China. He served as Chair and Professor of the Arts Administration Department of the Shanghai Conservatory of Music from 2005 to 2008. From 2020 t0 2022 he was Professor of Practice in Music Management of the Chinese University of Hong Kong. He is currently Adjunct Professor of the Education University of Hong Kong (since 2012) and Guest Professor of the Xing Hai Conservatory of Music.
Prof. Tseng has served as board and committee members in many local and international organizations. He was Chairman of the Hong Kong Arts Administrators Association (1991-94), Chairman of the Committee on Venue Partnership of the Leisure and Cultural Services Department (2012-17), a member of the Hong Kong Government’s Advisory Committee on Arts Development (2012-17) and a board member of the Association of Arts Administration Educators (AAAE) in the USA (2014-19) and a director of the Arts Committee of the Shenzhen Belt & Road International Music Festival (2019). Currently he is a member of the Artistic Board of the Macau International Music Festival, an examiner of the Hong Kong Arts Development Council, as well as board members of the Wu Zhi Qiao (Bridge to China) Charitable Foundation, Hong Kong Dance Company, Hong Kong Children’s Choir, Tang Shu Wing Theatre Studio, Hong Kong Gaudemaus Dunhuang Ensemble and Hong Kong Grand Opera.
His book “Principles of Arts Management” (in Chinese) has sold more than 10,000 copies and a revised edition was published in 2018.
In May 2022, Prof Tseng was presented the Hong Kong 2022 ISPA Angel Award by the International Society for the Performing Arts.
As an elderly slasher, Tseng continue to explore farming, learning, music, rural conservation, cycling and hiking.
